RUF Briquettes
Technical specifications
RUF fuel briquettes are intended for combustion in solid-fuel installations for the production of thermal and (or) electrical energy used at industrial sites and in residential premises.
RUF fuel briquettes are produced from crushed wood waste of softwood and hardwood species without the addition of binding (adhesive) substances.
Briquette dimensions and allowable deviations:
- length: 150 ± 5 mm;
- width: 60 ± 5 mm;
- thickness: 90 ± 10 mm;
- edge rounding radius: 15 ± 5 mm.
Quality parameters
| Parameter | RUF hardwood | RUF mixed wood species |
|---|---|---|
| Density, kg/m³ | ≥ 950 | 1000 ± 50 |
| Moisture, % | 4–8 | 4–10 |
| Ash content, % | ≤ 1.0 | ≤ 2.2 |
| Lowest specific heat of combustion (calorific value) | ≥ 18.4 MJ/kg ≥ 4400 kcal/kg |
≥ 16.5 MJ/kg ≥ 3940 kcal/kg |
Packaging
RUF fuel briquettes are packed in 10 kg packs (12 pcs.) wrapped in heat-shrink polyethylene film.
The packs of briquettes are stacked on a 1200×800 mm wooden pallet, forming a unit of 96 packs (1152 briquettes).
The finished unit is wrapped in stretch film and tied with polypropylene strap.
Briquette weight:
- per pack: 10 kg;
- per unit: 960 kg.
Maximum allowable deviation from nominal weight ± 5 %.
RUF fuel briquettes of Uniplyt LLC are certified to the FSC® standard (FSC® C112264) — confirming that the wood originates from responsibly managed forests. View certificate →
Transportation and storage recommendations
The briquettes are transported in dry vehicles, with mandatory protection from moisture, contamination and mechanical damage, in accordance with the cargo carriage rules in force for the relevant mode of transport.
The briquettes are stored in packed form in covered warehouse premises, at an air humidity of not more than 80 %.
